Job summary

ProMach in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, inspect, and maintain machinery and mechanical systems on our packaging lines.

You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, conduct preventive maintenance, read blueprints, test machines, and ensure safety. Strong communication and ability to work with production teams are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• Experience in machine maintenance and repair.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain machinery and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Use tools and equipment such as wrenches, calipers, and diagnostic machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings.
• Test and calibrate machines to ensure proper functionality.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company protocols.
• Keep maintenance records and document repair work.
• Conduct electrical and electromechanical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with the Plant Manager and production team to address machine breakdowns efficiently.
