Job summary

Wilden Pump & Engineering LLC in Grand Terrace, California seeks a Maintenance Technician to maximize uptime by completing proactive work orders and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing faults on plant utilities and machinery.

You will work with the Maintenance Supervisor to perform preventative maintenance on air compressors, forklifts, PIT equipment, and building systems, logging work in CMMS and ensuring safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or maintenance engineering technology preferred.
• Minimum 4 years related on-the-job facilities experience required.
• Forklift experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive maintenance and repairs on air compressors, dryers, forklifts, all Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment, and pallet jacks.
• Assist with installation of new equipment by preparing the site utilities, clearing the space, handling of equipment into final locations, and making final utility terminations.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues on production and non-production equipment.
• Support general building maintenance and renovations such as drywall, framing, painting, and office furniture relocation.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on all production and facility equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
• Install and maintain utility lines (air, water, gas, electrical).
• Document CMMS work orders accurately and safely.
• Analyze KPIs to drive data-driven improvements to equipment and workflows.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician ensures maximum facility and equipment uptime by completing proactive work orders and by diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing faults on plant utilities and machinery. Working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor, this role executes daily work orders while continuously driving departmental efficiency and strict EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety) compliance.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or maintenance engineering technology preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years related on-the-job facilities experience required.
• Forklift experience required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and hydraulic systems, as well as welding, shop machinery, and pneumatic/hand tools.
• Proficient in general maintenance work such as, but not limited to, patching, painting, framing, and concrete repair.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions to complete routine procedures and/or operate standard equipment.
• Ability to use a computer and digital Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log work and track parts.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, internal customers, external vendors, and suppliers.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills, with the ability to troubleshoot unfamiliar equipment and develop solutions independently when manuals and instructions are unavailable.
• Demonstrate high attention to detail, consistently meeting work order requirements and daily goals safely and accurately.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze departmental KPIs to recommend data-driven improvements to equipment and workflows.
• Adheres strictly to the Company's Safety Program, including NFPA 70E Arc Flash safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and appropriate safety protocols.
• Must be knowledgeable of and comply with the Company's policies and procedures.
• Maintain attendance as required by company policies.
• Work overtime as required.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Work Environment: The environment is both office and manufacturing. The manufacturing environment is subject to moderate changes in temperature, and the employee will be exposed to typical hazards of noise, flying debris, and overhead hazards requiring the use of proper PPD (Personal Protective Equipment).

Pay Range: $27.00 - $32.00 USD per hour
