Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and repairing machinery, systems, and building components to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position works closely with production, operations, and facility teams to minimize downtime and maintain equipment reliability.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.
• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, motors, conveyors, pumps, and other equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment logs.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and installation projects.
• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Order or recommend replacement parts and maintenance supplies as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree, maintenance certification, or trade school training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, commercial, or facility setting preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic computer skills for work order and maintenance management systems.

Preferred Skills

• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial environments.
• Ability to safely work from ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms.
