Grand Lake Casino is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform diverse facilities tasks and keep the casino, lodge, and business center in safe, clean condition.

You will operate hand tools, assist with construction-related work, and maintain equipment and spaces while following policies and regulations. The role requires teamwork, physical effort, and adherence to safety standards in a casino setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with construction laborer experience.
• Includes use of hand tools, construction equipment and lawn care equipment.
• Experience in maintaining facilities and reading basic plans is preferred.

Maintenance TechnicianDepartment: MaintenanceClassification: SCOGC GLExemption Status: Non-exemptReports To: Refer to Org-ChartPay Grade: $18.00 per hourLocation: All GLC PropertiesPosition Summary — The Maintenance Technician completes jobs and maintains the facility in safe and sanitary conditions. Maintains the structural integrity of the buildings and maintains the facility in an inviting atmosphere. This is to include the casino property, lodge and business center.Essential Functions — An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation.Operate hand tools, identify building materials and machinery needed to complete projects in a timely manner.Load and unload materials, salvage useful materials, measure and mark construction areas.Maintains appearance of the facility inside and out.Cleans up after each job and puts tools and equipment in their place.Maintains a high level of cleanliness and appearance at all times.Develop and maintain a friendly, courteous rapport with customers and staff.Has the ability to work with others to complete special projects or task assigned daily, weekly, or routinely.Performs and completes all jobs assigned in a professional manner.Follows GLC policies and procedures.QualificationsHigh school diploma or G.E.D. and general construction laborer experience required. Including use of hand tools, construction equipment, and lawn care equipment.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to read and interpret plans, instructions and specifications while laying out work areas where construction work will be performed.Understanding the operation and maintenance of various systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting within the Casino.Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for employees and patrons.Skilled in using various tools, equipment, and technologies relevant to maintenance work.Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions in a timely manner.Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Other Requirements — Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license and a state issued I.D. All applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening prior to beginning employment. Must be at least 18 years of age.Physical Requirements — Possess the physical stamina and capability to perform various tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.), standing for extended periods, and engaging in physically demanding activities to ensure the effective upkeep of the facility.
