Job summary

Seneca Gaming Corporation is looking for a Service Technician I to perform outside labor and building/grounds maintenance at the Buffalo, NY casino/hotel. Responsibilities include grounds upkeep, shipments, equipment movement, and assisting with engineering tasks such as mechanical, plumbing and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean building grounds such as sweeping lots, removing snow, mowing grass and watering shrubbery and grass.
• Keep public areas in and around the facilities free of litter and debris (parking lot and outside main entrance).
• Receive all incoming shipments at the casino/hotel site and manage equipment movement.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks at the casino daily; assist with engineering duties including mechanical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning.
• Shall assist painter and carpenter as needed; work independently without direct supervision.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner.

All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** 1. Maintain and clean the building grounds such as sweeping lots, removing snow, mowing grass and watering the shrubbery and grass. 2. Keep public areas in and around the facilities free of litter and debris (meaning parking lot and outside main entrance.) 3. Empty garbage and smoker’s receptacles on the property. 4. Perform routine maintenance tasks at the casino daily. 5. Receive all incoming shipments at the casino/hotel site. 6. Responsible for all equipment and supply movement throughout all facilities. 7. Support all special event equipment needs. 8. Assist with table layout, of removing or moving gaming tables to specified locations. 9. Assist with all engineering duties including but not limited to mechanical plumbing, heating and air conditioning. Shall assist painter and carpenter as needed. 10. Work independently without direct supervision. 11. Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times. 12. Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff. 13. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies. 14. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment. 15. Attend all necessary meetings. 16. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.**QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:****Education/Experience:** 1. Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment. 2. Experience in the technical fields of carpentry, electrical, plumbing and heating/air conditioning would be helpful. 3. Ability to initiate and complete work orders. 4. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier.**Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:** 1.
