Job summary

Grand Lake Casino is seeking a Lodge Housekeeper to maintain clean guestrooms, public areas, and outdoor spaces. You will ensure high-quality presentation, launder linens, and remove trash throughout the property while reporting any deficiencies to management.

This role requires basic cleaning knowledge, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. A pre-employment drug screen is required and you must be at least 18.

Qualifications

  • Housekeeping experience required.
  • Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and ensures the cleanliness of guestrooms, Business Center, and outdoor areas.
  • Performs quality cleaning of all areas including room, bath area, windows, etc.
  • Replaces and launders soiled linens and towels.
  • Removes trash from rooms, outdoor trash containers, and cigarette containers.
  • Checks property, equipment, and furniture for inadequacies and reports findings to management.
  • Responds to biohazard situations, cleaning the area thoroughly and in a timely manner.
  • Replenishes supplies on housekeeping carts at the end of shift.
  • Completes assignments with little or no supervision.

Lodge HousekeeperDepartment: LodgeClassification: StaffExemption Status: Non-exemptReports To: Refer to Org-ChartPay Grade: $13.65 per hourLocation: All GLC PropertiesPosition Summary — The Lodge Housekeeper accommodates GLC Lodge guests by ensuring a high-quality and clean facility is presented at all times.Essential Functions — An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation.Maintains and ensures the cleanliness of guestrooms, Business Center, and outdoor areas.Performs quality cleaning of all areas including room, bath area, windows, etc.Replaces and appropriately launders soiled linens and towels.Removes trash from rooms, outdoor trash containers, and cigarette containers.Checks property, equipment, and furniture for inadequacies and reports any findings to management.Responds to biohazard situations, cleaning the area thoroughly and in a timely manner.Replenishes supplies on housekeeping carts at the end of shift.Completes assignments with little or no supervision.QualificationsHigh school diploma or G.E.D and housekeeping experience required.Customer service experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to establish and maintain relationships with fellow team members, management, and guests.Knowledge of basic cleaning methods and techniques.Ability to work with little supervision and complete tasks in a timely manner.Other Requirements — Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license and a state issued I.D. All applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening prior to beginning employment. Must be at least 18 years of age.Physical Requirements — Must be able to see small objects in low lighting and tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing an allergic reaction. Must have the ability to twist, stoop, bend, squat, and use extensive and repetitive hand movements. Must have the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and stand for extended periods.Work Environment — Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust, noise, and bright flashing lights.Special Working Conditions — Must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures and weather conditionsThis position description is not an exhaustive listing of the expectations associated with the role and additional tasks may be assigned as needed by management.
