Job summary

Jobot in Minnesota is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Technician to perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a range of machinery. You will collaborate with engineering and document all work to support reliability and uptime.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in maintenance, strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and proficiency with hand and power tools. Flexibility for weekends is a plus.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

1. Conducting regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
2. Performing preventive maintenance tasks on a variety of equipment, ensuring they are always in optimal working condition.
3. Responding to emergency breakdowns and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.
4. Collaborating with the engineering team to understand machinery operation and maintenance requirements.
5. Documenting all maintenance work for record-keeping and future reference.
6. Ensuring all safety protocols and procedures are adhered to during maintenance work.
7. Assisting in the installation of new equipment and machinery.
8. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.
9. Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and maintenance techniques.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the Engineering industry or a similar role.
2. A strong understanding of preventive maintenance techniques and practices.
3. Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
4. Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
6. Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
8. A degree or diploma in a relevant field is preferred.
9. Certifications in relevant areas would be an added advantage.
10. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if required.
