Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Permanent Maintenance Mechanic to join our engineering team south of Boston, MA. The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience with pumps, pneumatics, motors, and repair to keep production running smoothly.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, repair components, and collaborate with staff to optimize equipment performance while adhering to safety standards. Weekend overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in a maintenance mechanic role in engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of machine maintenance, pneumatics, motors, and repair.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues with machinery and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently or in a team.
• Proficient with use of hand and power tools.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy items and work in confined spaces.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.

We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic Engineering team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional who possesses a strong understanding of pumps, machine maintenance, pneumatics, motors, and repair. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery, minimizing downtime, and maintaining our equipment in top-notch condition. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• 1. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction.
• 2. Perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
• 3. Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them in a timely manner.
• 4. Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
• 5. Understand and implement complex machinery operations, including pneumatics and motors.
• 6. Maintain detailed records of performed work, repairs, and parts used.
• 7. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• 8. Collaborate with other staff members to optimize performance and output.
• 9. Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
• 10. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

• 3. Extensive knowledge of Machine Maintenance Tech, Pneumatics, Motors, and Repair.
• 4. Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues with machinery and equipment.
• 5. Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• 6. Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
• 7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• 8. Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• 9. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
• 10. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work in confined spaces.
• 11. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• 12. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports, order parts, and maintain records.
• 13. Willingness to work overtime and on weekends as required.
