Job summary

Matcor-Matsu Group in Edgerton, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician with strong electrical experience to join our Maintenance team. This role focuses on repair, maintenance, and operation of production equipment and facility systems used in metal stamping, welding, and assembly.

You will read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety procedures are followed to minimize downtime and keep production running.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Industrial maintenance in manufacturing or automotive environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Technician - Press (Strong Electrical Experience Required)

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician with strong electrical experience to join our Maintenance team.

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and operation of production equipment and facility systems. This position requires experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems used in metal stamping, welding, and assembly operations. Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair experience is required.

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and facility systems used in metal stamping, welding, and assembly processes.
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics, prints, and controls.
• Maintain and repair machinery while ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
• Control stored energy in accordance with safety requirements to protect personnel, equipment, tooling, and dies.
• Support maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Conduct all activities in an ethical manner consistent with company expectations for professionalism and respectful treatment of others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and related maintenance experience preferred.
• Previous experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing, automotive, stamping, welding, or assembly environments preferred.
• Vocational or technical training in electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, machine repair, controls, wiring, or industrial maintenance is considered an asset.
• Experience with programmable controllers, electronics, and electrical troubleshooting strongly preferred.

Ability to perform equipment and facility maintenance including:

• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Feeds, transfers, and conveyor systems
• Press maintenance
• HVAC systems
• Compressors and plumbing systems

Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to support production operations effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ability to perform preventive maintenance activities and support tooling and die-related maintenance operations.

• Independent ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic prints.
• Ability to write programs for die protection and motors.
• Ability to direct and support other technicians.
• Possesses all Class B and Class C competencies.
• Independently leads maintenance activities within assigned equipment categories.
• Identifies problem areas and implements solutions.
• Prevents equipment and process deterioration.
• Performs preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
• Demonstrates skills in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical maintenance.
• Works under the direction of a Class A or Class B Technician.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing and walking.
• Frequent reaching with hands and arms.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 lbs.
• Manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Occasional exposure to fumes and airborne particles.
