Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe operating condition.
  • Prioritize work orders and safety items with supervision as needed.
  • Self-motivate to begin and complete assigned projects and overtime as required.
  • Conduct electrical safety inspections and repairs for 110/220/480 volt systems.
  • Welding and fabricating as required; follow manager directions.

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Department: Maintenance - Production

Location: Mason, Ohio

General Function: Responsible for the maintenance of all production presses & equipment.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for identifying equipment problems and for repairing of equipment to the best of their ability in order to maintain production.
  • Evaluate equipment problems and determine the most expedient short term and long term solutions.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functions of required tools and equipment.
  • Maintains tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.
  • Determining work priorities collectively based on available information.
  • Self-motivated to start and/or complete work orders, safety items & other projects as assigned.
  • Electric safety inspection and repair of 110/220/480 volt.
  • Welding and fabricating.
  • All other duties assigned by Manager and Team Leader.

Working Conditions: Plant environment; working in and out of presses, in press pits, high lift and working on a ladder.

Capable of working off the ground with height variances as well as working in confined spaces.

Physical Component(s): Standing and walking up to 100% of work time; pushing, pulling, bending, reaching and some stooping.

Education/Experience: High school diploma and must be willing to continue education in the maintenance field; electrical, hydraulics, mechanical, electrical arc flash, schematics, blue print, etc. training and classes. Knowledgeable and capable of working with basic electric 110/220/480 volt. Basic welding and fabrication needed.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be self-motivated
  • Observe and enforce all safety rules and regulations, wear proper safety equipment; safety glasses, hearing protection, leather work shoes/boot, cotton clothing.
  • Maintain positive attitude and promote that attitude throughout the team.
  • Must be available for overtime as needed to maintain production.
  • Coordinates with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
  • Own and use basic tools.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical to include hearing & vision testing and alcohol/drug screen test.
