Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Edgerton, KS. You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production machinery, and prepare equipment for scheduled runs while performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

The role requires 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing, a High School Diploma or GED, and ability to read manuals and safely use tools and meters.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, follow work orders, and safely utilize hand/power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment.
• Preferred knowledge: electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, or Servos.
• Physical capabilities: lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production machinery.
• Set up machinery for scheduled runs and perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Provide rapid emergency repairs during production and perform facility maintenance (plumbing/carpentry).
• Collaborate with Regulatory Compliance to maintain food safety and plant sanitation standards.

Your Opportunity: Maintenance Technician

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Troubleshoot & Innovate: Perform expert mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagnostics and repairs on production machinery.
• Keep Production Flowing: Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled runs while executing preventive maintenance to prevent downtime.
• Solve Critical Problems: Provide rapid emergency repairs during production and perform facility maintenance, including basic plumbing and carpentry.
• Partner in Quality: Collaborate with Regulatory Compliance to maintain top-tier food safety and plant sanitation standards.

What You Bring to the Team

• Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical Skills: Proven ability to read equipment manuals, follow work orders, and safely utilize specialized hand/power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment.
• Preferred Knowledge: Specialized training in electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, or Servos.
• Physical Capabilities: Comfortable sitting, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environment.
