Randstad USA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our De Soto, KS facility. You will maintain and repair high-speed production machinery, conveyors, and equipment, using schematics and manuals.

Maintenance Mechanic

Location: De Soto, KS (Onsite)

Pay Rate: $27.00 – $30.00/hr

Shift: 12-Hour Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Rotating 2-2-3 Schedule

What You’ll Do

• Maintain & Repair: Inspect and service production machinery, conveyors, and equipment using schematics and manuals.


• Diagnose & Solve: Visually and audibly inspect lines to isolate mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic issues.


• Dismantle & Rebuild: Use hand and power tools to replace worn drive mechanisms and hydraulic components.


• Safety: Strictly adhere to facility safety guidelines and LOTO procedures.

What You Bring

• Experience:3+ years in industrial maintenance (machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, basic electrical).


• Skills: Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.


• Tools: Must own a mechanic's hand tool set for industrial maintenance.


• Certs & Physicals: Able to operate aerial lifts/forklifts and lift 50+ lbs regularly during a 12-hour shift. High school diploma/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain & Repair: Inspect, service, and repair production machinery, conveyor systems, and plant equipment using schematics, manuals, and technical specifications.


• Diagnose & Troubleshoot: Visually and audibly inspect operating machinery to quickly isolate mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic failures.


• Dismantle & Rebuild: Safely use hand and power tools to dismantle equipment, measure component wear, and replace defective drive mechanisms or hydraulic parts.


• Prioritize Safety: Strictly adhere to all facility safety rules, OSHA guidelines, and LOTO procedures.

The essential functions of this role include:
