Job summary

Minth North America, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Tawas facility to perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, electrical wiring, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.

You will diagnose issues with diagnostics tools and coordinate with team members to minimize downtime while upholding safety standards. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance and knowledge of PLCs, motors, and

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; vocational training, certification, or an associate degree in industrial maintenance is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with industrial machinery or in manufacturing.
• Technical knowledge: Understanding of electrical control panels, PLCs, machine vision systems, motors, and fluid power systems; familiarity with robots is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and inspect equipment regularly to catch issues before breakdowns.
• Diagnostics & troubleshooting: Use manuals, tools, and software to locate root causes of failures.
• Repairs & overhauls: Dismantle, replace parts, reassemble and calibrate equipment.
• Installation: Set up and test new tools or production equipment on the floor.
• Documentation: Log repairs and maintenance schedules in tracking systems; Excel experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Use technical manuals, multimeters, and diagnostic software to locate root causes of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic failures.
• Repairs & Overhauls: Dismantle malfunctioning machinery, replace broken parts, and reassemble or calibrate equipment to optimal specifications.
• Installation: Set up and test new tools, conveyor systems, or production equipment on the production floor.
• Documentation: Log repairs, parts inventory, and maintenance schedules into computerized tracking systems. Microsoft Excel experience is a plus.

To be a qualified candidate you must meet the following:

• Education: High school diploma or GED; vocational training, certification, or an associate degree in industrial maintenance is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working with industrial machinery or in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical control panels, PLCs (programmable logic controllers), machine vision systems, motors, and fluid power systems. Familiar with Fanuc, Kuka, and ABB robots, general carpentry skills, and experience with injection molding machines is a plus.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and regularly lift heavy parts.
• Safety Focus: Strict adherence to OSHA guidelines and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
