Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical control panels, PLCs, machine vision, motors, and fluid power systems; familiarity with Fanuc, Kuka, ABB robots is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance: clean, lubricate, inspect equipment to prevent downtime.
• Diagnostics & troubleshooting: use manuals, multimeters, and diagnostic software to locate root causes.
• Repairs & overhauls: dismantle malfunctioning machinery, replace parts, and calibrate to specifications.
• Installation: set up and test new tools, conveyor systems, or production equipment on the floor.
• Documentation: log repairs, parts inventory, and maintenance schedules; Excel experience is a plus.

About the Role:

The Maintenance Technician at Minth Tawas Manufacturing plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and carpentry tasks. The technician will work closely with other team members to identify issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime. A strong focus on safety and compliance with industry standards is essential in this role. Ultimately, the Maintenance Technician contributes to the overall efficiency and productivity of our operations, ensuring a safe and functional work environment for all employees.

Responsibilities:

• Preventive Maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and inspect equipment regularly to catch minor issues before breakdowns occur.
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Use technical manuals, multimeters, and diagnostic software to locate root causes of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic failures .
• Repairs & Overhauls: Dismantle malfunctioning machinery, replace broken parts, and reassemble or calibrate equipment to optimal specifications.
• Installation: Set up and test new tools, conveyor systems, or production equipment on the production floor.
• Documentation: Log repairs, parts inventory, and maintenance schedules into computerized tracking systems. Microsoft Excel experience is a plus.

To be a qualified candidate you must meet the following:

• Education: High school diploma or GED; vocational training, certification, or an associate degree in industrial maintenance is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working with industrial machinery or in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical control panels, PLCs (programmable logic controllers), machine vision systems, motors, and fluid power systems. Familiar with Fanuc, Kuka, and ABB robots, general carpentry skills, and experience with injection molding machines is a plus.

• Physical Stamina:Ability to stand for long shifts, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and regularly lift heavy parts.
• Safety Focus: Strict adherence to OSHA guidelines and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
