Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician will directly impact the guest experience by ensuring that all physical aspects of the hotel - rooms, amenities, and facilities - are operating at peak performance. From resolving in-room issues to keeping systems like HVAC and lighting running smoothly, your hand-on approach and attention to detail will help create a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment that enhances the overall guest stay and supports long-term operational efficiency.

HOW YOU'LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE

• Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding area, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC functions, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Respond to guest requests for service according to company policy. Keep records of rooms completed.
• Program phone equipment according to hotel needs.
• Observe equipment and utility meter readings on a daily basis.
• Stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer.
• Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 1 year of hand-on maintenance or repair experience in a hotel, commercial building, or similar environment.

Experience with:

• Routine upkeep of hotel facilities, pool areas, and public spaces.
• Monitoring daily equipment operations and utility meter readings.
• Programming and maintaining hotel systems.
• Managing small inventories of tools and maintenance parts.
• Documenting completed repairs and guest service tasks.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or coursework in general maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related fields is a plus.
