Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, scheduled, and emergency maintenance on production and facility equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, including three-phase motor replacement.
- Troubleshoot and repair production and filling-line equipment.
- Perform basic PLC troubleshooting and support HVAC and welding-related maintenance.
- Rebuild and repair gearboxes, drives, motors, belts, and other mechanical components.
- Install equipment and piping and assist with production-line setup and teardown.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, manuals, and equipment documentation.
- Create, manage, and document maintenance work orders through the L2L CMMS.
- Perform equipment inspections and routine preventive maintenance.
- Communicate equipment and maintenance issues with Plant Management, Production, and Quality.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify equipment reliability, safety, efficiency, and quality improvements.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout, PPE, fall protection, and other industrial safety requirements.
- Maintain compliance with SOPs, cGMPs, GFSI, food safety, quality, environmental, and company standards.
- Support 5S and maintain an organized, safe maintenance environment.
Qualifications Needed
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree, trade school certificate, or military technical training is a plus.
- Minimum 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical production equipment.
- Experience with industrial electrical troubleshooting, including three-phase motors.
- Strong background with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, gearboxes, drives, motors, and production equipment.
- Basic experience with PLC troubleshooting, HVAC, and welding.
- Experience with food processing machinery and/or food manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Experience working within cGMP/GMP-regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, prints, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
- Experience utilizing hand tools, testing equipment, and standard maintenance/shop equipment.
- CMMS/work-order system experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout and industrial safety practices.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
