Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Danvers, MA community. This full-time role runs Tuesday through Saturday, 9 AM – 5 PM, with a pay rate of $22.50 per hour.

You will perform repairs and preventive maintenance to promote resident wellbeing and facility aesthetics, communicating with the Maintenance Director on the condition of buildings and equipment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong mechanical skills, handles chemicals safely, and works effectively

Qualifications

• Demonstrates excellent mechanical skills.
• Performs general maintenance including light electrical, painting, carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance work (light electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.).
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and follows chemical handling procedures.
• Uses the work-order system to track tasks and report status.
• Supports regular and preventive maintenance programs.
• Communicates with the Maintenance Director about building and equipment condition.
• Handles biohazardous waste in accordance with safety standards.

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team! In this role the Maintenance Technician performs repairs (both minor and major). You will implement regular and preventive maintenance programs that promote a sense of well-being and aesthetic appeal for residents and staff and communicate with the Maintenance Director on the condition of buildings and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Understands the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste.
• Maintains a clean laundry room in an orderly manner and stores chemicals in accordance with product or supervisor instruction.
• Follows standards and practices for specific chemicals.
• Demonstrates excellent mechanical skills.
• Works effectively within the work-order system.
• Performs general maintenance work (light electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.)

Requirements

• Familiar with emergency procedures if chemicals are misused.
• Demonstrates the interest and ability to learn new skills and techniques as needed.
• Demonstrates proper usage of chemicals and equipment.
