Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a full-time, on-site role in Danvers, MA. The position runs Tuesday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a pay rate of $22.50 per hour.

You will perform repairs and preventive maintenance to promote a safe, well-maintained environment for residents and staff. Responsibilities include handling biohazardous waste practices, maintaining clean laundry areas, proper chemical usage, and coordinating with the Maintenance Director on

Qualifications

  • Experience performing light electrical, painting, carpentry tasks.
  • Familiar with biohazardous waste handling.
  • Ability to learn new skills and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Performs repairs (minor and major) and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintains clean laundry areas and proper chemical storage.
  • Adheres to chemical handling standards.
  • Demonstrates strong mechanical skills in daily tasks.
  • Operates within the work-order system to track work.
  • Performs general maintenance (light electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.)

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team! In this role the Maintenance Technician performs repairs (both minor and major). You will implement regular and preventive maintenance programs that promote a sense of well-being and aesthetic appeal for residents and staff and communicate with the Maintenance Director on the condition of buildings and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Understands the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste.
  • Maintains a clean laundry room in an orderly manner and stores chemicals in accordance with product or supervisor instruction.
  • Follows standards and practices for specific chemicals.
  • Demonstrates excellent mechanical skills.
  • Works effectively within the work-order system.
  • Performs general maintenance work (light electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.)

Requirements

  • Familiar with emergency procedures if chemicals are misused.
  • Demonstrates the interest and ability to learn new skills and techniques as needed.
  • Demonstrates proper usage of chemicals and equipment.
