Job summary

Rinker Materials’ Prentiss, MS plant is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair equipment, perform inspections, and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. You will contribute to one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe and related infrastructure products.

The role requires reading plans, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining and electronics knowledge, plus the ability to work at heights with safety harnesses and a valid

Qualifications

• Business/technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• One plus years’ experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Working knowledge of large machine operation and infrastructure construction.
• Technical expertise in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining and electronics.
• Ability to read and apply information from plans, blueprints, and manuals.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.
• Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing problems.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, switches, and valves.
• Fabricate parts or components as needed.
• Install, maintain, and repair low and high voltage electrical systems.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects and ensure efficient operations.
• Provide excellent service by addressing client concerns and resolving maintenance issues promptly.
• Work at height using a manlift, ladders and safety harnesses.

About the Role:

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Position does require working on tall structures using a manlift, climbing ladders and the use of safety harnesses.

About You

We Require:

• Business/technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience. One plus years’ experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Working knowledge of large machine operation, construction of infrastructure.
• Technical expertise in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining and electronics.
• Ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions along with the ability to listen and ask questions to understand points made by others.
• General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and database systems.
• Ability to read and apply information fromplans, blueprints, work instructions and equipment manuals. Diagnostic problem solving techniques. Detail orientation.
• Mathematical skills and mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems.
• Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication.
• Must have a valid drivers’ license.
