Job summary

Talascend is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Columbus, Ohio operations to support maintenance, inspection, and operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen systems across facilities.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. On‑site day shift with on‑call emergencies and adherence to safety policies are expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts.
• Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
• Perform general interior maintenance including HVAC/R coil cleaning, evaporator coil cleaning, and kitchen equipment maintenance (meat grinder, cuber, meat saw, slicers, etc.).
• Conduct minor plumbing repairs.
• Complete special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
• Be on call for after-hours emergencies.
• Comply with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for an opportunity in Columbus, Ohio.

Overview

This role involves supporting maintenance, inspection, and operation processes across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen systems in assigned facilities. The technician assists in the repair and maintenance of various building systems and equipment, working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Successful candidate must be a self-motivated individual capable of working independently or in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable
• Minimum of one (1) year of applicable experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical
• Position requires frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving
• Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written

This is an onsite position supporting the Columbus, Ohio market, with a day shift schedule.
