Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a foam manufacturing facility in Chattanooga, TN. The role involves maintaining and servicing equipment and mechanical elements of production.

It is a full-time, temporary-to-hire position with several shifts available. Pay rates start at $27.02/hr with up to $32.00/hr based on experience; afternoon/night shifts include a $0.75 differential.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Mathematical ability: compute rate, ratio, percent; interpret bar graphs.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, boilers, robotics and PLC programming.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machinery and equipment for defects.
• Perform PM schedule and maintain up-to-date information of equipment.
• Operate and repair hydraulic presses, robots, assembly machines, boilers, compressors, plant support machinery, water softeners.
• Assist in identifying problems and equipment repair needs.
• Troubleshoot repairs and perform preventative maintenance.
• Transport material and components with hand transport or forklift.
• Use Electric Meter for troubleshooting; welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, soldering and brazing.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Automation Personnel Services is seeking Maintenance Technician for foam manufacturing facility in Chattanooga, TN. Qualified candidates will support manufacturing by maintaining and servicing equipment and mechanical elements of component production. Positions are full-time temporary to hire.

Pay Rates:

Day shift: $27.02 per hour based on experience up to $32.00 per hour

Afternoon and night shift: $27.02 per hour plus $0.75 shift differential

Shifts and Schedules

Day Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday- Friday

Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm – 11:30pm Monday- Friday

Night shift: Sunday 7:00pm- 3:30am Monday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:00am

Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspects machinery and equipment for defects
• Maintain up-to-date information and hands-on working knowledge of equipment installed and set-up for manufacturing operation. Perform PM schedule.
• Operate and repair hydraulic presses, robots, assembly machines, boilers, compressors, plant support machinery, water softeners, etc.
• Assist in identifying problems and or equipment repair needs.
• Troubleshoot repairs and perform preventative maintenance utilizing hydraulic and other mechanical technology and efficient techniques available to support lean environment.
• Transport material and components with the use of a hand transport or forklift if needed.
• Must be able to use Electric Meter for Troubleshooting. Welding, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Soldering and Brazing.

Maintenance Technician Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum HS diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years manufacturing maintenance experience and provide own tools.
• Read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
• Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, boilers, robotics and PLC programming.
• Proficiency in computer operations using Microsoft Office Software.
• Solid 480 VAC 3-phase experience.
