AWS/CES is NOW HIRING: Industrial Maintenance Technician in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Temp-to-Hire with starting pay $27.02/hour and a $0.75/hour shift differential for off-shift work.

Night, Afternoon, and Day shifts are offered: Night 7:00 PM, Afternoon 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, Day 7:00 AM–3:30 PM; Monday–Friday with overtime and/or weekends as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, PLCs, and 480 VAC 3-phase systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Must provide own tools.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, boilers, robotics, PLC programming, and 480 VAC 3-phase systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machinery and equipment for defects and maintenance needs.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic presses, robots, boilers, and other plant equipment.
• Identify equipment problems and determine necessary repairs.
• Perform mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Use electrical meters for troubleshooting.
• Perform welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, soldering, and brazing as needed.
• Transport materials using hand trucks or forklifts when required.
• Maintain work areas according to 5S standards.
• Handle major repairs and coordinate with outside contractors when necessary.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Industrial Maintenance Technicians to support manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and mechanical systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, PLCs, and 480 VAC 3-phase systems.

• Troubleshoot and maintain equipment in a lean manufacturing environment.
