Job summary

Aim Transportation Solutions is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support a high-volume manufacturing operation in the Chattanooga, TN area. You will be the primary maintenance technician on the shift, diagnosing problems, making decisions, and keeping production running while coordinating with production leadership.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance, strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and the ability to read electrical

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Comfortable troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and control voltages.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, diagrams, manuals, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls-related issues.
• Troubleshoot single- and three-phase electrical systems, including 120/208/240/480 VAC and 24 VDC controls.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, motors, gearboxes, servo motors, production equipment, and automated systems.
• Support troubleshooting of industrial robotics, PLC-controlled equipment, and vision systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and identify potential equipment failures before they cause downtime.
• Conduct root-cause troubleshooting on recurring equipment problems.
• Complete general facility and building maintenance as needed.
• Document repairs and maintenance activity accurately.
• Work closely with the 2nd-shift supervisor and production team to prioritize maintenance needs.

Job description

We're hiring an experiencedIndustrial Maintenance Technicianto support a stable, high-volume manufacturing operation in theChattanooga, TN area.

This is a strong opportunity for a well-rounded maintenance technician who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, working independently, and taking ownership of keeping production running. You'll be theprimary maintenance technician supporting the shift, so we're looking for someone who can diagnose problems, make sound decisions, and communicate effectively with production leadership.

Pay: $29-30/hr base with a 15% shift differential

2nd Shift: 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM

• TypicallyMonday-Wednesday
• Work36 scheduled hours and get paid for 40
• Employees who complete their full scheduled shifts receive an additional4 hours of top-up pay
• Occasional 4th-day coverage may be required with advance notice
• Fridays are rarely scheduled
• Training:The selected candidate will initially train on 1st shift (5:00 AM-5:00 PM), with some Thursday hours as needed, before transitioning to 2nd shift.

• Able to work independently without another maintenance technician constantly available on the shift
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production supervisors and operators
• Proactive, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of problems through resolution
