The Role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for daily maintenance operations of the apartment community, reporting to the Community Manager.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company policies and relevant laws (Fair Housing, ADA, etc.).
• Inspect and maintain common areas and buildings.
• Complete work orders promptly; report issues.
• Coordinate daily activities and communicate with staff.
• Repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural, and grounds.
• Maintain courteous interactions with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Complete administrative tasks timely.
• Perform other duties as assigned; may include on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Strong oral communication skills.
• Proven hands-on maintenance skills, preferably in residential settings.
• Self-motivated, capable of negotiating costs.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt.
• Logical troubleshooting skills.
• Lift, push, pull up to 75 lbs.

Education & Experience

• Technical training or equivalent experience in HVAC.
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA certification required or obtainable.
• Own tools required.
• Ability to operate necessary tools.
• Experience in residential maintenance beneficial.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
