Job Overview

As a Life Sciences Equipment Service Technician at STERIS, you will act as a trusted advisor to our customers in maintaining and procuring Life Sciences products, including medical devices and consumables. You will ensure an exceptional customer experience through on-site preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, equipment modification, and installation support on complex mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic units in a healthcare environment.

Location

This is a remote, customer-facing position. Candidates must be based in Minnesota or Wisconsin to support and service customers in these territories.

Responsibilities

1. Drive customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
2. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance safely and efficiently.
3. Troubleshoot, repair, modify, overhaul, or refurbish equipment and system components.
4. Provide timely maintenance, service calls, warranty work, and minor installations.
5. Maintain communication with the Area Service Manager regarding activity and sales opportunities.
6. Identify sales opportunities and promote STERIS products/services.
7. Respond to customer and sales inquiries and support the sales team on-site as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• High School diploma with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including outside normal business hours.
• Residence within 50 miles of the territory center.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push wheeled transporters up to 50 pounds.
• Compliance with hospital/customer credentialing requirements.

Preferred

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in electronics, mechanical, or similar discipline with 1 year of experience.
• Knowledge of GMPs and GLPs.

Additional Skills

• Strong technical troubleshooting skills.

Compensation

Pay range: $47,750 - $66,938, with eligibility for bonuses. Pay depends on experience, education, certifications, and local labor market conditions.
