Job summary

Ruggable is seeking Maintenance Technicians to ensure safe, efficient operation of production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with preference for digital printing experience.

Senior levels may lead complex diagnostics, mentor junior technicians, and support reliability initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• 5+ years preferred for senior level consideration.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Experience with CMMS systems such as UpKeep.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on digital textile printers, CNC cutting systems, sewing machines, compressors, and related production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical (including 3-phase power), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures to identify root causes and restore operations quickly.
• Conduct operational testing and calibration to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Support installation, modification, and improvement of new and existing machinery.
• Maintain compressed air systems, HVAC filtration, lighting, and other facility infrastructure.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Utilize CMMS software to track work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and support monthly counts.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Summary:

Ruggable is looking for Maintenance Technicians who are responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production equipment and facility systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and ensure consistent production output.

Experience supporting digital printing systems is strongly preferred. Candidates with experience maintaining large-format printers, CNC equipment, automated sewing machinery, or similar industrial systems are encouraged to apply. This position may be filled at a mid-level or senior level depending on experience and technical capability.

What You'll Do:

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform preventative maintenance on digital textile printers, CNC cutting systems, sewing machines, compressors, and related production equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical (including 3-phase power), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Troubleshoot equipment failures to identify root causes and restore operations quickly
• Conduct operational testing and calibration to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Support installation, modification, and improvement of new and existing machinery

Facility Systems Support

• Maintain compressed air systems, HVAC filtration, lighting, and other facility infrastructure
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Utilize CMMS software (e.g., UpKeep) to track work orders and preventative maintenance tasks
• Maintain spare parts inventory and support monthly counts
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
• Follow and enforce all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout protocols

Senior-level technicians may also:

• Lead complex diagnostics and equipment troubleshooting
• Mentor and train junior technicians
• Support reliability initiatives and downtime reduction strategies

Digital Printing Maintenance (Preferred Experience)

• Support maintenance and troubleshooting of large-format digital printing systems
• Perform print head maintenance, monitor ink delivery systems, and maintain tension systems
• Partner with production teams to reduce recurring print-related downtime

What You'll Need to Have:

Required:

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• 5+ years preferred for senior-level consideration
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a moderate‑to‑loud manufacturing environment
• Occasional exposure to equipment vibration

Preferred:

• Experience with 3-phase electrical systems and motor controls
• Digital printing equipment maintenance experience
• Familiarity with CNC equipment, automated machinery, or textile manufacturing environments
• Experience using CMMS systems such as UpKeep
• High School Diploma or GED
• Forklift Certification
• Elevated Platform / Scissor Lift Certification
• Lockout/Tagout Training
• First Aid & CPR
• Experience with Zund cutting systems or industrial sewing equipment

Details:

• $25.00 - $30.00/hr
• 2 Shifts Available:
  • B Shift (M-Th, 5 PM to 5:30 AM)
  • C Shift (Fri, Sat, Sun - 5 AM to 5:30 PM)
