John Roberts, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our printing operations in Indiana. The role centers on maintaining mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems with hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Available hours are 10am-6pm or 2pm-10pm; candidates should have 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience and be able to work independently or in a team while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Basic electrical maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production and facility equipment (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems).
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor electrical issues such as faulty wiring, fuses, switches, and sensors.
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance on machines, motors, conveyors, and building systems.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and relocations.
• Maintain lighting, outlets, and other electrical fixtures throughout the facility.
• Support general facility upkeep, including plumbing, carpentry, and basic HVAC tasks as needed.
• Ensure tools, work areas, and equipment are clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all safety protocols including proper lockout/tagout procedures and PPE use.
• Maintain accurate logs of completed maintenance and report any unresolved issues.

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician supports the safe and efficient operation of our printing and finishing equipment by performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks. This hands-on role focuses on general maintenance with an emphasis on electrical work. The ideal candidate has at least two years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment and enjoys problem-solving in a fast-paced setting.

Job Requirements

• Solid understanding of general maintenance practices and mechanical systems.
• Basic electrical knowledge (troubleshooting, wiring, and component replacement).
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic instruments (e.g., multimeter).
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a production environment.
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of general maintenance experience in a manufacturing, printing, or industrial setting.
• Basic electrical maintenance experience preferred.

Pay Range: $24- $30/hr
