Responsibilities

  • Complete maintenance, repair and custodial tasks for MMCA facilities on time and to standard.
  • Respond to work orders from staff and tenants; provide progress updates.
  • Recommend repair and routine-maintenance solutions with scope and schedules.
  • Respond to urgent facility needs and coordinate with Facilities Manager.
  • Perform quarterly inspections at Head Start locations and report findings.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare paperwork for billing and accounts payable.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with requirements.
  • Protect confidentiality of client and agency information.

MMCA is looking for a dependable, resourceful Facilities Technician to keep our central office and Head Start facilities running smoothly. In this practical, service-focused role, you will complete repairs, preventive maintenance, custodial work, and facility inspections that directly support the people and programs in our communities.

What You'll Do
  • Complete maintenance, repair, and custodial assignments for MMCA properties on time and to agency standards.
  • Respond to work orders from staff and tenants, communicate progress, and provide weekly status reports.
  • Recommend repair and routine-maintenance solutions, including scope of work and proposed schedules.
  • Respond to urgent facility needs and coordinate with the Facilities Manager when needed.
  • Complete quarterly inspections at Head Start locations and share findings with program leadership.
  • Maintain organized, accurate records and prepare paperwork for billing and accounts payable.
  • Help inspect completed work to confirm that quality and requirements are met.
  • Protect the confidentiality of client and agency information.
Qualifications
What You Bring
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least six months of experience in a related role.
  • Basic custodial, carpentry, painting, and general repair skills.
  • The ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and follow through on priorities.
  • Clear, professional communication with staff, tenants, clients, contractors, vendors, and funding partners.
  • Comfort using computers, word processing, and spreadsheets; online work-order experience is a plus.
Position Requirements
  • Complete required State Bureau of Identification and DHHS Child Protective Services record checks before employment begins.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and/or have reliable transportation.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds and perform work that may involve bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climbing ladders, and moving through small openings.

Rate of pay will be dependent upon experience and other qualifications.

This position is part-time 28 hours
