Job summary

Protective Foam Solutions in Allentown, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the facilities team. You will support day-to-day readiness and equipment reliability, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems with care and precision.

The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of building systems, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to plan, inspect, and lead maintenance tasks. A high school diploma is required; vocational training or certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical, heating, and related building systems.

• ITI training is a plus; certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance across multiple craft areas to keep equipment and facilities in repair.
• Utilize hand tools, meters, and testing devices for maintenance and repair.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure reliability.
• Diagnose problems from blueprints and manuals and implement fixes.
• Assemble or repair wiring, piping, and machinery components.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance team supporting day-to-day facility readiness and equipment reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical mindset, a safety-first approach, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems with care and precision.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Allentown, PA

Shift: Sunday to Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.

What's the Job?

• Perform work involving two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, and the facility structure in repair.
• Use hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical/electronic testing devices to complete maintenance and repairs.
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance to keep machines running smoothly and building systems operating efficiently.
• Diagnose mechanical problems by reviewing blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs, then determine and execute the correct repair approach.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.

What's Needed?

• Strong technical knowledge of building systems (electrical, heating, and related infrastructure).
• Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations, with a consistent commitment to following Environmental and Safety policies.
• Excellent planning and leadership abilities, with an eye for detail during inspections, repairs, and installations.
• Computer savvy; Information Technology training is a plus.
• High school diploma; a degree from a vocational school will be a plus. Professional certifications (e.g., CMRP or HVAC certified) are preferred.
