Job summary

THREADED FASTENERS INC. in Alsip, IL seeks a Maintenance Tech to execute preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and perform repairs across the plant.

The role requires safety compliance, reading manuals, diagnosing malfunctions by sound/visual cues, and performing mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance with minimal downtime. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Two-year associate degree or higher in technical field or completed apprenticeship.
• Military training and experience in a relevant MOS.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in mechanic, maintenance, electrical, electromechanical, or related role.
• Reading blueprints and schematics preferred.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding preferred.
• Experience with power transmission components; belt drives, chain drives, bearings, motors & gears preferred.
• Experience with drill presses & lathes preferred.
• Forklift, scissor lift, and articulated lift operation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance service.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
• Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance and repair of work orders.
• Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and diagnose malfunctions by sight, sound, or action.
• Inspect, adjust, clean, or lubricate equipment as preventive maintenance.
• Tear down, replace, repair, install, and assemble equipment parts and accessories.
• Assist other maintenance staff and support electrical maintenance as needed.
