Job summary

Gil-Mar Manufacturing in Livonia, MI is seeking a Maintenance Tech Level 1 to perform machine maintenance on diverse equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role involves daily checks, oiling, coolant management, and preventive maintenance using standard check sheets.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour on the 1st shift (Mon-Thu 6:00 AM - 4:15 PM) with overtime opportunities. Excellent benefits after 90 calendar days; required safety PPE such as shoes, ear protection, and glasses.

Responsibilities

• Check refract levels on all machines and adjust daily.
• Check inline pneumatic oilers and add oil as needed daily.
• Pull filter screens on coolant tanks and clean daily.
• Check coolant levels and fill as needed.
• Suck out old coolant, clean tank, and replace as necessary.
• Organize coolant and water fill lines to prevent trip hazards.
• Ensure coolant vacuum cleanliness and empty as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance (grease, oil, belt inspection) on equipment using check sheets.

Job Description:

This position will be required to perform machine maintenance on various types of machines within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Check refract levels on all machines and adjust accordingly daily.
• Check inline pneumatic oilers, add oil as needed daily.
• Pull filter screens on coolant tanks and clean daily.
• Check the coolant levels and fill as needed.
• Suck out old coolant, clean tank, and replace as necessary.
• Responsible for the organization of the coolant and water fill lines as to not be trip hazards.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of the coolant vacuum and emptying as needed.
• Using Preventative Maintenance check sheets, perform preventative maintenance (grease, oil, belt inspection etc..) on equipment as stated.

Industrial plant setting. Continuous exposure to noise. Safety protection required. Must wear safety shoes, ear protection and safety glasses. Must strive for continuous improvement. Overtime may be required. Excellent benefit package after 90 calendar days!
