Foster Farms seeks a skilled Brood Maintenance Mechanic to analyze and repair brood equipment, install systems from blueprints, and manage maintenance invoices. You will guide trainees, operate and wire electrical components, and perform preventive maintenance on pumps, heaters, and related systems.

Responsibilities include boiler troubleshooting, safety adherence, and coordinating after-hours calls while maintaining a clean, harassment-free work environment at job sites.

Competenze

• Must have a minimum of four years of training, one-the-job and/or formal schooling.
• Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and complete work in a timely and efficient manner.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work from a ladder.
• Must have and maintain a California Driver's License and an acceptable DMV record.
• Must be able to take after hour calls, and job assignments as necessary.
• Must be able to give direction, lead and train other lower level mechanics.
• Must be able to maintain a pleasant and harassment free work environment at the job sites

Mansioni

• Analyze and repair brood maintenance malfunctions.
• Work from blueprints/schematics to perform maintenance/repair or install equipment.
• Report materials and replacement parts needed for jobs; prepare and maintain maintenance invoices as required.
• Direct/instruct subordinate employees still in training (Brood Maintenance Mechanics, Classes B and C).
• Wire and install motors, switches, fuses, lighting, relays and control device; determine proper size and specifications of plumbing pipe, fittings, valves, etc., for water and gas.
• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance repairs on pumps, motors, foggers, heaters, feed systems, vaporizers, injectors, etc.
• Install, connect, adjust, and calibrate pneumatic gauges, meters, etc.
• Troubleshoot and repair boilers.
• General cleaning and/or assisting other crews; maintain safety, housekeeping, sanitation and disease control requirements.
