Job summary

Foster Farms is seeking a maintenance technician to support electrical and mechanical systems across our production mill. Responsibilities include fabrication, welding, troubleshooting, repairing, installing equipment, and performing preventative maintenance to keep lines running smoothly.

Applicants should be able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and comply with safety standards. Weekend, holiday, and overtime availability is required to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physically capable: climb ladders, work from scaffolds, in pits, bend, kneel, and walk frequently.
• Familiar with maintenance: electrical/mechanical, mill flow patterns, lubrication.
• Be able to perform routine services and troubleshoot/repair most mill equipment.
• Familiar with welding/fabricating.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and have good time management skills.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems, including fabricating, welding, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain records and report defects in writing to the supervisor.
