Job summary

Foster Farms seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform all phases of maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems. The role includes fabricating, welding, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and preventative maintenance.

You will maintain records and report defects to the supervisor, and must be able to lift 50 pounds and work weekends/holidays as required. Candidates should have good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and stairs, work from ladders/scaffolds, work in pits, bend, kneel and walk frequently, work in high places, work in silos.
• Lift 50 pounds.
• Preferably familiar with maintenance phases including electrical and mechanical systems, mill flow patterns, lubrication techniques.
• Able to perform routine services and troubleshoot and repair mill equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing all phases of maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems (fabricating, welding, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and preventative maintenance).
• Maintain required records, reporting in writing any electrical/mechanical defects and replacement parts to the supervisor.
