Job summary

JLL in Richmond, VA is seeking a Maintenance Tech to support our engineering team by performing general maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems under supervision.

The role requires 1+ years of building maintenance experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work under varying conditions. On-site position with hands-on training and opportunities to grow within JLL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing and basic electrical.
• Experience with hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team with maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and installed systems including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components.
• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs under engineering supervision to keep building systems operating efficiently.
• Replace lighting and ballasts as needed throughout the facility.
• Update work order status in real-time using CMMS systems and maintain documentation.
• Conduct facility inspections and report on conditions affecting client occupancy and operations.
• Maintain tools, parts, equipment, and supplies in clean and safe conditions; follow safety policies.
• Participate in ongoing safety and operational training.
