Job summary

Schwan's is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and complex repairs on conveyor systems and food production machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires 3+ years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Compensation starts at $28 per hour with overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two-year degree in a maintenance trade preferred.
• 3+ years of related maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work varied hours (full-time/overtime/weekend).
• Proficiency with mechanical/electrical systems and basic carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on conveyor systems and food production machinery to minimize downtime.
• Perform mechanical repairs including shaft keying, sprockets, gear heads, welding, hydraulic hoses, and belt maintenance with specialized tools.
• Assist with equipment setup, teardown, welding, fabrication, and installation of plant machinery.
• Diagnose issues via observation and measurements, identify root causes, and resolve them.
• Use SAP to document maintenance work orders and coordinate with production/operations.
