Schwan's Company is seeking a maintenance mechanic for our Oklahoma plant to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems and packaging equipment. The role includes complex mechanical work and welding, with a focus on minimizing downtime and keeping production running efficiently.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED (two-year trade degree preferred), and be able to work second shift with a 1:00 PM–10:00 PM

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two-year degree in maintenance trade preferred.
• 3+ years of related maintenance experience.
• Ability to work varied shifts including full-time, overtime, or weekends.
• Basic to advanced mechanical knowledge with electrical and building skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot conveyor systems and food production machinery to minimize downtime.
• Perform complex mechanical repairs (shaft keying, gear head replacement, welding, hydraulic hose fabrication, belt maintenance).
• Assist with equipment setup, teardown, welding, fabrication, and installation of plant machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical issues via observation, sounds, and precision tools; identify root causes.
• Use SAP to document maintenance activities and coordinate with production/ops to optimize workflow.
