Job summary

Vivmark Residential in Canoga Park, CA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to advance our on-site facilities team. With 2-3 years of maintenance experience including HVAC, plumbing and electrical work, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain apartment homes to ensure high-quality living environments.

A valid driver’s license is required, and you should be prepared for an on-call rotation. You will read and follow safety policies, use PPE, and contribute to a safe, efficient maintenance

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of maintenance experience including HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical work
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
• Ability to communicate with team members and residents for service
• Ability to read and understand policies and procedures (Key Control, Turnover, Maintenance Emergency)
• Knowledge of PPE and safe chemical handling
• Understanding of emergency systems, shutoffs and operations

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry and safety systems
• Completes service requests and repairs per standards and in a timely manner
• Ensures vacant apartments are rent-ready promptly; performs turnkey work as required
• Conducts apartment preventative maintenance
• Assists in painting interior and exterior surfaces
• Maintains safety culture and reports unsafe conditions and nonfunctioning equipment
• Performs hot works (brazing, soldering, welding) within standards
