Job summary

Catallia Mexican Foods, LLC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II to troubleshoot, service, repair, and adjust automated equipment and building systems in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting. The role focuses on maintaining safety, uptime, and a productive work environment while supporting the maintenance team across shifts.

The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years in industrial maintenance or 1-2 years with a technical certification, and strong electrical and PLC/VFD/PanelView/HMI

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in maintenance mechanics, electricity and electronics with a Technical Certification, or 3-5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong working knowledge of industrial electrical systems (240V–480V), outlets, and related components.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, and PanelView/HMI systems; PLC programming may require authorization.
• Able to troubleshoot mechanical systems and electrical controls using a voltmeter, sensors, motors, etc.
• Experience with building systems, automated equipment, and a high mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in equipment evaluation, installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Experience with automated food processing equipment.
• Proficient with a wide range of tools and applications.
• Identify problems and respond appropriately; commitment to process improvement.
• Provide own basic hand tools (metric and standard).
• TIG welding and fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, service, repair, and adjust automated equipment and building systems.
• Contribute to predictive and preventative maintenance to improve production efficiency and machine availability.
• Inspect plant facilities and production support systems to support plant operation and uptime.
• Coordinate with outside contractors as needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and organize the maintenance shop.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance team across shifts for continuity.
• Follow directions from the Maintenance Manager or designee.
