Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Maintenance certification or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Electrical knowledge required.
• Experience in Food Manufacturing or Processing desirable.
• Familiarity with safety programs such as Confined Space, LOTO, HazCom, Hot Work.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines to access and repair defective parts.
• Maintain food processing equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on motors, bearings, belts and filters.
• Handle general maintenance tasks including plumbing and electrical work.
• Document maintenance performed and notify supervisor.
• Identify needed parts and communicate with supervisor.
• Notify supervisors when repairs affect food handling areas.
• Clear work area and ensure hygiene before facility operations.
