Job summary

Daybreak Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for an egg production and processing facility. The role focuses on completing minor to major equipment repairs during non-production and production times of the day.

You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain food processing equipment, including boilers and ammonia/glycol refrigeration, while documenting maintenance activities and part needs. A strong safety mindset and applicable certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintenance certification or related experience preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Experience in food manufacturing/processing highly desirable.
• Familiarity with GMP, LOTO, Hazcom, Hot Work and Electrical Safety.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines to access and repair defective parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Install new equipment and carry out parts replacements.
• Document maintenance activities and PMs for tracking.
• Operate and maintain boiler and ammonia/glycol refrigeration systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment; use test equipment.
