Job summary

Daybreak Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a range of repairs in an egg production and processing facility. You will complete minor to major repairs during both non-production and production times to keep equipment running smoothly.

Responsibilities include diagnostic testing, dismantling machinery, preventative maintenance, and ensuring hygiene protocols. A high school diploma and maintenance certification or equivalent experience are required, with CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Maintenance certification or equivalent experience.
• Must obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Experience in maintenance and in food manufacturing is desirable.
• Familiarity with GMP, safety programs like LOTO, Hazcom, Hot Work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines to access and replace defective parts.
• Maintain and repair food processing equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on motors, bearings, belts and filters.
• Handle general maintenance tasks including plumbing and electrical work.
• Document maintenance performed and notify supervision.
• Identify required parts and communicate needs.
• Notify supervisors before maintenance in food areas.
