Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. maintains a fast-paced distribution and retail environment in Portland, OR and is seeking a Maintenance Tech 2 to execute preventative maintenance and troubleshoot building and material handling systems.

You will design maintenance solutions for complex problems and lead maintenance projects with the Operations team. The candidate should have 3+ years experience with conveyors and electrical systems, basic controls/PLC knowledge, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
• Basic knowledge of controls systems and PLCs (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair material handling systems and conveyors.
• Maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components.
• Safely operate forklifts, lifts, hand tools and energy management equipment.
• Create and close out work orders with labor hours and parts used.
• Lead preventative maintenance procedures and assist in training plans.
