Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is hiring a Maintenance Technician at our East Point, GA distribution center. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility and conveyance systems to keep operations running smoothly.

Role requires PLC/controls knowledge, hydraulics/pneumatics, electrical drawing reading, and a strong safety mindset. The position is on-site with physical duties including lifting up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 2-year vocational/technical certificate in mechanical or electrical field.
• 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
• Welding, burning, and cutting experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gears and PLC controls.
• Familiar with Crown PM, Gage, and DC-specific software packages.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs; physical stamina.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems.
• Follow PM standards and document work in asset management system.
• Report spare parts inventory levels and usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Train junior technicians to improve performance.
• Collaborate with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and on time.
• Perform other duties to support DC operations.

Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needsQUALIFICATIONS:Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application3-5 years of experienceWelding, burning, cuttingKnowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controlsFamiliar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex.
