Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to keep our distribution center running safely and efficiently. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair critical facility equipment and conveyance systems, following PM standards and recording work in our asset management system.

Ideal candidates have an Associate’s degree or technical certificate in mechanical or electrical fields and 3–5 years of hands-on experience working with PLCs, conveyors, hydraulics,

Qualifications

• Assists in safety and PM practices in a manufacturing/DC setting.
• Demonstrates mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
• Works with asset management systems to document work and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems; follow PM standards and document work.
• Assist in reporting spare parts inventory levels and daily usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Assist outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and timely; take on other tasks to support operations.

Overview

2nd shift- Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am

Pay rate- 25.60/hr plus $1.00 shift differential

Role Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Base knowledge should include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Assist in the reporting of spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other responsibilities and tasks as need to support our operational needs.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years experience
