Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair critical DC equipment, including conveyor and PLC-controlled systems. You will troubleshoot hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes, follow PM standards, and document work for asset management.

The role also involves training teammates and coordinating with vendors to complete projects safely and efficiently. Associate-level technical education and 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or electrical technical training is required.
• Experience with industrial maintenance and building systems.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facility equipment and conveyance systems.
• Troubleshoot PM standards and document work.
• Work with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, gears and conveyors.
• Report spare parts usage and inventory levels to leadership.
• Train junior technicians and collaborate with vendors on projects.

OVERVIEW: Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility.
• Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system.
• Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
