Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our team. You will repair, maintain, install and troubleshoot industrial equipment, following blueprints and manuals. Training provided, with occasional overtime.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a 2-year technical degree preferred, and the ability to read blueprints. You may be asked to lift up to 80 lbs and operate CMMS software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred in a related field.
• Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand/power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices.
• Ensure safe operation of machinery and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and instructions.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments.
• Perform boiler chemical and wastewater testing and adjust as needed.
• Conduct daily/weekly safety checks on boilers and perform repairs.
