Job summary

Beacon Communities LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician I for Woodlands at Abington in Abington, MA. The role covers entry-level maintenance across electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, painting, and HVAC support, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus for new hires.

Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and participates in on-call coverage as needed. Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, 1–3 years of related experience preferred, valid driver’s license, and basic English

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
1–3 years of related maintenance experience preferred.
Valid driver's license required.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC and/or carpentry helpful.

Responsibilities

Assist with turnover-related cleanout and demo work to achieve make-ready status.
Perform minor carpentry tasks such as drywall patching, cabinet/ countertop work, finishing and door/lock repairs.
Paint, replace cover plates, and clean common areas as needed.
Monitor inventory and deliver supplies as directed.
Support snow removal and ground maintenance as required.
Assist with on-call and after-hours maintenance requests.
Collaborate with senior staff on larger maintenance projects.
Support other properties in the region when needed.
