Job summary

Bozzuto is hiring a maintenance technician in Falls Church, VA to handle service ticket resolution, preventative maintenance, and turnover work for occupied and vacant units. The role requires HVAC/plumbing/electrical and appliance repair skills, plus reliability for on-call emergencies and a professional appearance.

You will support residents with excellent service, coordinate with property operations, and participate in ongoing training and safety programs within a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or an education in the trades.
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair.
• Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation.
• Ability to exert 25–50 pounds of force frequently and 10–20 pounds constantly.
• Reliable transportation to report to work and on-call emergencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional appearance and basic computer skills.
• Service mindset and desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Showing care and concern for residents through service ticket resolution and preventative maintenance.
• Resolving maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
• Preparing vacant apartments for move-in through turnover repairs and improvements.
• Maintaining building safety and cleanliness, including snow removal and grounds upkeep.
• Providing residents with outstanding customer service.
• Working weekends or evenings and being on call for after-hours emergencies.
