Job summary

Bozzuto is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Washington, DC. You will perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repairs, prepare vacant apartments for move-in, and maintain the building’s safety and appearance.

Weekend or evening shifts and on-call emergencies are required. You must have experience in building maintenance or trades, strong communication, basic computer skills, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or an education in the trades.
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair.
• Availability for emergency situations and on-call rotation.
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds frequently and 10–20 pounds constantly.
• Reliable transportation and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Showing care and concern for residents through service ticket resolution.
• Resolving maintenance issues in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair.
• Preparing vacant apartments for move-in and turnover repairs.
• Maintaining building safety and cleanliness, grounds upkeep and snow removal.
• Providing residents with outstanding customer service.
• Working weekends or evenings and being on call for emergencies.
